Freelance Commissioning Editor and Literary Agent
In my freelance commissioning role publishers have me on a retainer to seek out new work and new talent to publish books. As a literary agent I represent writers to other publishers.

Enough About Me So That I Satisfy Your Curiosity Without Boring You
Usually on promotional websites you’d have a carefully-curated, flattering image of the ‘person in question’ so that you get an unrealistic first impression, but my portrait photographer, lighting and makeup people are unavailable at the moment, so for now, what you see is what you get – big nose and all.
My principle work is as a media creator, focusing on writing. I take visions and ventures, big and small, and sprinkle my magic X-dust and the results are successful creative projects.
Whether it’s books, magazine articles, web content, video, audio, apps – whatever – for me it’s all about taking an idea and creating satisfying experiences for readers, audiences and participants.
Over the decades I’ve worn many hats – writer, commissioning editor, manuscript developer, researcher, script-doctor, presenter, actor and mentor to other artists because, even though I enjoy seeing my own work come to fruition I take great pleasure in seeing other people’s dreams and visions come true too.
Some of my major career milestones include writing numerous best-sellers, directing a documentary series, completing a qualification as a chef (for my food writing) and helping to launch the careers of many talented people in the media and entertainment fields.
